Manchester Blossom Map 2024/25

Client: National Trust Manchester

Bek did an outstanding job designing the 2024 Manchester Bloomtown map.

She always delivered work on time and responded very well to feedback. She came up with some very smart, creative solutions to some very challenging specifications. I would highly recommend Bek’s work as an illustrator, designer, and cartographer, and would not hesitate to work with her again.

I have worked with National Trust Manchester on the Bloomtown Project since 2023.

In 2024 National Trust Manchester recommissioned me to extend the 2023 Manchester Blossom Map folding map. The brief for the 2024 map was:

  • to extend the 2023 map to include more areas outside Manchester city centre like RHS Bridgewater and Waterside Arts and
  • to highlight blossom hot spot accessibility by encouraging the use of public transport.

As part of the redesign I also updated the front cover and the information side of the map.

Posters

As part of the 2024 recommission, I also designed 4 large scale, 2 A1 posters and tram coving to be used at the St Peter’s Square Tram Stop Blossom Takeover. These advertised the Festival of Blossom events taking place across Manchester.

I was also involved in the social media and online campaign. I designed a web banner and my illustrations were used in Instagram promotional posts.

In 2025 National Trust Manchester recommissioned me to redesign the posters, tram coving and social media and the trams stop wrap for St Peters Square.

Other commissions previously done for the National Trust include Beatrix Potters Hawkshead Map, Waddesdon Manor Visitor map and NT Bathampton visitor maps.
