Illustrated Map of Rome

This illustrated map of Rome is a personal project that was inspired by a lovely weekend away with my husband to celebrate my birthday.

It started out as a collection of quick pencil sketches featuring some of the places we visited and what we ate and drank. Before too long I also added in some of the more unexpected things we saw while wandering around like the starlings murmuration and the huge, furry Coypu along the River Tiber.

I was going to leave it at that but I couldn’t resist adding it all together to make a colourful illustrated map of Rome as well.
