Illustrated Map of Rome

This illustrated map of Rome was inspired by a lovely surprise weekend break with my husband to celebrate my birthday.

It started out as a collection of pencil sketches featuring some of the places we visited and ate and drank. I also added in some of the more unexpected things we saw while wandering around like the starlings murmuration and the huge, furry Coypu along the River Tiber.

I couldn’t resist adding it all together to make a colourful illustrated map of Rome as well.
