“We came to Bek with an unusual request – to map buildings of London that no longer existed, aided only by archive photographs. Bek rose to the challenge beautifully – and well ahead of deadline – with a unique, highly detailed map that exactly fitted our requirements. At all stages she communicated well, supplied drafts and made amendments promptly, and showed a great level of editorial accuracy as well as artistic ability. We’re delighted to have published her re-imagined London.”

AA Publishing and Londonist jointly commissioned me to design an illustrated map showing the Lost Victorian Buildings of London. The brief was to design a map for an online feature about the Victorian buildings London should never have lost. These buildings no longer exist in their original design or for their original purpose. In some cases they have been completely replaced so it was a very interesting and challenging project.
The map features in the Londonist Mapped book along side the original feature. The illustrated map is also used as the inside cover of the same book.
AA Publishing and Londonist also commissioned me for the London Pub Map featured in Londonist Drinks.
